Papoose Completely Unleashes On 50 Cent With Surprise Diss Track "Agent Provocateur"

Papoose remains one of the fiercest MCs out there, and with 50 Cent on a war path, it appears as though diss tracks are flying.

If 50 Cent is Iran and the United States is TI and family, then Papoose is Israel. After a simmering feud between the two MCs, the latter has released a blistering diss track.

All bars no hooks, Pap goes after Fif’s neck like a collar. He gives zero F’s in his approach to call 50 a bitch. His rhetorical stylings on “Agent Provocateur” remain ever present as he flows effortlessly.

In one instance he says Fifty was shot nine times and alleges that he shot only five times. At another point he points out that he got his name from a Brooklyn rapper. The insults just keep coming.

So what does this mean for Pap? He is not really a superstar but he’s an underground legend who still gets deposits for writing.

Fifty will most likely not respond to Papoose’s missive. Instead, he’ll hop on his private jet and soar to Shreveport. That’s fair to say.

But this fiery track with a simple, bare bones video to accompany it displays the power of the human condition. 50 has so many enemies that it’s easy to get lost in the sauce. As they mount and the diss tracks rise, he is just biding his time. Is it too late, though? Has Fif been run off the block by his opps?

The reality is that he saves all his fire power and just has to take these lyrical bodyblows. Truthfully, he may opt to get a lawyer like Drake and sue the record labels, just to stunt.

If Curtis Jackson isn’t knocked off his axis after this scorched earth offering, then he will most likely succumb to his faults. He will most likely pull a Hitler and off his rap career before anyone else can claim they finished off Fif.

But this Papoose track is a scalding hot example of true hip hop with witty bars and crushing punchlines. In his quest for stardom, this might actually jumpstart Papoose’s career.

He possesses the makings of a megastar; he had tight hooks, strong wordplay, and an assertive tone. There’s a level of mystique to his way of rapping. He gives himself enough room to be efficient, prolific, and keen. Everything he does is in answer to this very situation. He has thrown down his verbal gauntlet and chose Fifty to be his main target at the moment.

With scorching lines, Pap has truly found his niche in battling a megastar like 50 Cent. Few people outside of hip hop know who Papoose is. What a shame. They ought to familiarize themselves with his lyrical dexterity. There is a simplicity of flow with a complexity of content inherent in his rhymes. For Fifty, he has very little to say about those who have attacked him. Is he patiently waiting for the right moment to bring this animus to a close? Or will he just hide behind memes and Internet jokes in lieu of laying tracks to challenge his opponents?

Regardless of what 50 has done, Pap is definitely on the right track and has allies to back him up on legitimate diss tracks. This is one of them. He’s got a sense that there is an arsenal of weaponry to use with his words.

If he can parlay this victory of the G-Unit mogul, Papoose just might find himself in the territory of New York’s finest MC's on a macro level. For him to seek out and try to explain just how his years, the more than twenty in total, have allowed him to see through the decades. Maybe this is Fifty’s swan song as a rapper. Maybe he's finished completely.
