How time flys

As you look in my eyes with those big brown eyes and that cute button of a nose, Rosie cheeks, and bright smile. I see the innocents of a baby boy, that has no cares in the world, other than being held and loved by his mommy.

Watching you play with your toes not sure quite knowing what they are yet, and the sound of you cooing,

The first time you ate squash and the disgusted face you had trying it than crying because you didn’t like the taste.

The first time you had ice cream, you got the biggest smile on your face after the first taste,

How you loved belly time and me rocking you in a chair both of us very tired falling asleep while I nursed you. Than I would wake up go back to bed a couple hours later I do it all over again,

The sweet Eskimo kisses that wonderful husky of a laugh of yours when I’d give you Zebert’s on your belly, such wonderful times, now your eighteen years old, I look at the time and I think back where did it go. How time can slip by so fast that’s why mommies have memories held tight in their heart to remember the wonderful times.

This is so sweet, Jennifer! I love your use of imagery and your ability to show versus tell. Your love for this boy is awe-inspiring.
