Independent R&B Soul Artist Jeiris Cook records inspiring song entitled Dreams
A throwback to his R&B roots, Jeiris Cook releases an EP that looks to inspire the masses to dream big through personal experience. A procedure to remove 3 wisdom teeth in June, left Cook with his jaw wired shut until early August. Undeterred, Cook sang the chorus entirely through clenched teeth, giving greater resonance to the release’s title. This will be the third single of 2020 for the up and coming artist. The project was released on December 16th, 2020 on all digital platforms, and Dreams has been placed on over 15 Spotify Playlists.

The Recordings I Once Thought Lost
A little over a decade ago I was a motivated and wide eyed teenager full of ideas and potential. Wait, no. Let me rephrase that. I was a teenager with wide, dilated pupils, full of what I thought were good ideas, and pot. I was full of pot. Nah, I'm joking. I never touched the devil's lettuce. Scout's on her, or whatever. Is that how y- never mind.

Introducing New Indie Artist, Stephersaur!
From an interview with an artist: "It was one of those songs that just fell out of my brain. I have this complicated relationship with all things celestial, especially during the night. I was talking about my weird relationship with the night sky with a friend one day. And a stranger, who identified herself as a green witch, told me that I was cursed by moonlight. That really freaked me out. And, I guess, when I wrote this song, I was thinking about all the memories from the night that seemed so cursed."

Good Love
My latest adventure into the Canadian independent music scene, brings me to the sounds of a Calgary, Alberta based artist. I seem to find myself more and more into the music scene in Canada lately. There is so much untapped goodness, and I am grateful to have connected with a few incredible artists in Canada who show me what’s really good! I plan on sharing here quite a bit more about some of the incredible female singers and MC’s that I have connected with, but today we are talking about male singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer, Shea Michael. Today, I share a little about Shea Michael’s latest EP - Good Love and give a more in-depth listen/review to his title track. When I say this EP is a ray of sunshine, give it a listen and you’ll hear why.

INDIE ARTIST PROMOTES SELF-DISCOVERY AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN NEW EP
Alexis Danielle Finley, a 90’s baby, born March 15 in Houston, TX. As a child, she always participated in extracurricular activities such as dance, sports and the choir at church and at school. Being surrounded by a musically gifted family, they realized she definitely had a gift. At age 5 she fell in love with the Song “how did you get here” by Deborah Cox. At age 16 she joined a girl group by the name of CLASS, that lasted for about 2 months and due to management, they had to part ways. After graduating from Westside High School, Alexis went on to Stephen F Austin State University to obtain a Bachelor of Music in Sound Recording Technology, exposing her to the production side of music. Throughout her college journey Alexis performed at multiple events to get comfortable on the stage. After graduating the primary focus was to be a singer/ engineer.

Yorktown's KRISTKO Leaves it to the Listener to 'Extrapolate' her New Song
To a lot of us, the United States has become recognizable. So we are left to cry out and plead for sanity. Anyway we can, our voice demands to be heard, and despite what seems almost futile, KRISTKO joins the chorus in her new song.

Interview with Accent Sorrow
So, to begin with, I met the artist who would become Accent Sorrow about 5 or 6 years ago through one of my closest friends. I didn't have too many initial reactions of him, though I did know I wasn't a tremendous fan of his taste of music. Coincidentally, it was indirectly through this particular set of musical tastes that I came to determine that my thinking about music had ossified, and I'd reached the age where I thought the music "of my generation" was the best, and everything new sucked.

The 2010’s The technological advancements and creativity of the new generation has made creating music easier than any other decade. Keeping the beat alive
For Britain’s independent music scene, lockdown is taking a toll. Venues are closed, so no gigs. Studios are closed, so no rehearsal space or recording time. The innovation shown in producing virtual performances can plug a gap, but it struggles to recapture the thrill of performing live in front of an audience. Even though the easing of lockdown means pubs can reopen this weekend, bars that specialise in live music are ordered to keep their stages closed.
