When were fatpants banned?
I was a major raver in the late 90's into the early 2000's, and quickly lost interest once I cleaned up from the cornacopia of drugs necessary to handle large groups of people. I must admit though, I do miss the never ending nights dancing with unlimited energy and massage trains. (Oh those wonderful massage trains, where people resembled a PG version of the human centipede.) No suprise, this trend continued, although now it seems the uniform has had some costume changes. When I frequented the many emptied factories or underground night clubs, fat pants and soothers were the standard for anyone addicted to bass and hallucinogens. Even though the drugs seem to be the same the clothes have diminished into what looks to be stripper costumes brought to you by the colour neon and vinyl.

Things You Need to Know About New York Fashion Week
With summer coming to an end, fashion lovers around the world prepare to hit the streets of New York for another iconic and exciting week of fashion, better known as New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Between the months of September and February, New York City hosts the first of four major fashion events, including Paris, London, and Milan to follow. New York, and Bryant Park and the Lincoln Center in particular, will be full of both new and seasoned designers, models, and fashion influencers like Vogue’s Anna Wintour. As well as tons of press, buyers, and, of course, a handful of trend-setting celebrities who are lucky enough to score front row seats and the opportunity to claim any Spring 2020 runway stunners, this show is open to the public and kicks off Friday, September 6, with designs and “performances” from Telfar. Closing, once again, with Marc Jacobs on September 11, these American designers are sure to set the standard for the newly shortened schedule that will showcase the world's most talented and creative fashionistas and all the things you need to know about New York Fashion Week.

Female TV Characters with the Best Style
When it comes to a character on a TV show or movie, there are many ways they express to us who they are. Obvious ways being dialogue, actions, and who they surround themselves with, but my favorite as someone who loves fashion is the way the characters dress. Clothing is a key component of world building and character building, whether the character only wears hoodies or plaid skirts. Of course, as someone who is attracted to a certain aesthetic, the characters with the best clothing are usually women for me who don't just shop at Forever 21. To me, the TV shows that I find have the best dressed female characters are the ones that don't realistically dress their characters. Meaning, in the show, the girl who lives in a middle-class household doesn't dress like she has money, but a stylist who dresses her every morning. As a TV fanatic, I've compiled a list of the best dressed females on the screen who will surely give you outfit inspiration or ideas to make a Pinterest board.

'The Tudors' Costumes Part 1
Over the years, I have watched the Showtime series The Tudors many, many times. I have learned one thing while watching the series for many times, and that is that the fans of this show and of history have paid very close attention to the costuming. Some love it, some hate it, and some are neutral. What many people do not realize about a show, a movie, or play, is that just like the script and scenery, the costumes designed are just as important in telling a story. This is the start of a series of posts about how I interpret the costumes story telling of each of Henry VIII's wives from the show The Tudors.

Spiral into Fashion
Out with the polka dots and stripes and in with the spirals. When I say horror manga, the first name that should pop into your head is Junji Ito. The first time I read one of his works (Enigma of Amigara Fault), I was immediately hooked and my love for horror sparked.
